Next-Gen Language Services: Changing Needs, Changing Models

InterpretAmerica is excited to partner again with the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA) to produce the third installment of think! Interpreting, in New York City. think! Interpreting will run concurrently with GALA 2016 and will give conference participants the opportunity to network with other interpreting providers from around the globe and gain unique insights into the interpreting market.

We are very excited to be in the United States for the first time since the think! Interpreting series began. We see this as an unprecedented opportunity for US-based companies to take advantage of all that the GALA annual conference has to offer.

This year's conference theme is Next-Gen Language Services: Changing Needs, Changing Models, and will explore:

The language services industry is experiencing a classic market disruption. The business models of yesterday simply do not fit with the demands of today. Corporations are dealing with challenges like tight budgets, short timelines, and the need for real business intelligence to develop globalization and go-to-market strategies. Vendors are coping with shrinking deadlines, new pricing models, and keeping up with technology. Both are contending with changes in consumer behaviors. And freelance linguists feel the impact of these challenges, and more. How can all stakeholders thrive amidst this change? What will next generation language services look like? Is there a way to create synergy and shared success? We welcome proposals from vendor and client professionals who are willing to share new relationship models, strategies for unifying and simplifying systems, and any expert advice related to harmonizing and optimizing translation, interpreting, and localization business models.

think! Interpreting sessions are open to all attendees and will explore topics critical to the interpreting sector such as the expansion of service delivery models, the latest in technology for providing interpreting services and the problems and prospects of machine interpretation. think! Interpreting provides a unique forum where key players gather to get a big picture of the interpreting market as well as to foster business and networking opportunities with key language enterprise stakeholders from around the world.

think! Interpreting is the place where the business of interpreting meets and we are delighted to invite you to our growing community.
