ENGLISH: In the wake of the earthquakes that shook Mexico City and the Mexican states of Puebla, Morelos, and Mexico, we want to express our deep sadness over the loss of life and the suffering seen today in Mexico. Gratefully, as far as we have been able to ascertain, all the organizers of Lenguas and those collaborating with us on the conference are safe.
Regarding the holding of Lenguas 2017 as scheduled on 28-30 September, it is still too early to say with any certainty what is going to happen. We are monitoring the situation and are waiting for news from the conference venue (San Ildefonso) regarding the condition of the building. We will make a decision regarding the conference in the next few days when we have the information necessary to do so, and will inform everyone who has registered for the conference as soon as we know how to proceed.
