By Katharine Allen & Barry S. Olsen

Published: 12 August 2014

"GALA conferences are about stepping back, taking stock of where we are, and where we need to go. Change is all around us, and this industry is poised to add so much value to the global economy...the key is to keep solutions simple as this complex global digital ecosystem evolves.”

It's confirmed! InterpretingAmerica and the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA) are partnering again to bring you think! Interpreting in Seville, Spain, March 22-25, 2015.

We are now accepting proposals for the event, which is part of GALA's annual Language of Business conference. The theme for this year's conference is Embrace Change, Simplify Solutions.

GALA Conference Committee Chair Marie Flacassier shared: “We know that GALA conferences are about stepping back, taking stock of where we are, and where we need to go. Change is all around us, and this industry is poised to add so much value to the global economy. The key is to keep solutions simple as this complex global digital ecosystem evolves.” The committee welcomes proposals that incorporate the notion of proactive change as it relates to a variety of industry-related subjects.

As co-producers of think!Interpreting, InterpretAmerica will be putting a special spin on the conference theme as it relates to the interpreting market.

To submit a proposal, you can find full details here. Full conference details can be found here.

Both the InterpretAmerica and GALA conferences are known for their big-picture approach to problem-solving and for cultivating an atmosphere of cooperation and community amongst participants. The 2015 think! Interpreting sessions are open to all attendees and will explore topics critical to the interpreting sector such as the expansion of service delivery models, the latest in technology for providing interpreting services and the problems and prospects of machine interpretation. think! Interpreting provides a unique forum where key players gather to get a big picture of the interpreting market as well as to foster business and networking opportunities with key language enterprise stakeholders from around the globe.

GALA 2015 brings together interpreting and translation and localization industry leaders to explore and discuss evolving trends in areas such as technology strategy and resource management, as well as production-related issues such as quality assurance.

Be sure to answer the call for proposals. Deadline: September 30, 2014
