CloudInterpreter + Double Robotics = VRI with a Twist

On the first full day of think! Interpreting at GALA New York, CloudInterpreter, a video remote interpreting (VRI) platform from Russia, stole the show. VRI is nothing new but when coupled with a telepresence robot built by Double Robotics, this platform turned heads and caught the attention of many conference attendees. A remote interpreting platform that allows the interpreter to move from one place to another autonomously takes VRI one step closer to mimicking an onsite interpreter. Tatyana, the video remote interpreter was located in Moscow, Russia.
